“At” digunakan sebelum keterangan waktu dalam jam, menit, dan waktu yang spesifik.

Penggunaan In

Kata bantu “in” digunakan untuk menjelaskan waktu dalam bulan, tahun, abad, musim, dan suatu rentang waktu yang spesifik.

• We need to have this report ready in 15 minutes.

Penggunaan On

Kata bantu “on” digunakan untuk menjelaskan waktu dalam tanggal dan nama hari.

In, On, At (Preposition of place)

1.     In 

Menyatakan posisi tempat yang berkaitan dengan nama desa, kota, atau wilayah tertentu (tanpa nama jalan maupun nomor)

Contoh:

-          I live in Siberuk

-          I live in Batang

 

2.     On

Digunakan untuk menyatakan alamat/Jalan tanpa nomor.

-          My address is on Jalan Flamboyan.

-          I live on Jalan Maju Mundur.

-          I stay at the hotel located on Kennedy Street.

 

3.     At

Digunakan untuk menyatakan Alamat rumah lengkap beserta nomor.

Contoh:

-          Fayyadh lives at 25 Jalan Jenderal Sudirman- Pekalongan.

-          Bella lives at 2 Niagara Street.
