Definisi dan Struktur Kalimat Pasif

Kalimat pasif adalah kalimat yang subjeknya menerima aksi atau tindakan dari kata kerja. Struktur kalimat pasif umumnya adalah:

- Objek (subjek dalam kalimat aktif) + kata kerja bantu (be) + kata kerja utama (past participle)

Contoh Kalimat Pasif

- The ball was thrown by John. (Bola itu dilempar oleh John.)

- The play was written by Shakespeare. (Drama itu ditulis oleh Shakespeare.)

Penggunaan Kalimat Pasif

Kalimat pasif digunakan untuk:

- Menekankan objek atau hasil aksi

- Menghilangkan subjek yang tidak penting

- Membuat kalimat lebih formal atau objektif

Perubahan dari Kalimat Aktif ke Pasif

Untuk mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi pasif, perlu dilakukan perubahan sebagai berikut:

- Subjek kalimat aktif menjadi objek kalimat pasif

- Objek kalimat aktif menjadi subjek kalimat pasif

- Kata kerja aktif diubah menjadi kata kerja pasif (past participle)
